High-Field Applications of HTS Tapes

Abstract - The key issues to be discussed in this presentation on high-field applications of HTS tapes include: 1) magnet design; 2) mechanical integrity; 3) protection; 4) spatial and temporal requirements; and 5) cryogenics. Also presented, for the very first time, is a new design of HTS high-current (HI) cables that are particularly suitable for high-field magnets.
