Development of Metallic Superconductors in Japan

Abstract = This article overviews the development of metallic superconductors in Japan covering different kinds of alloys, intermetallic compounds and MgB2. Metallic superconductors have opened many new application areas in science and technology. Japan has been one of the leading countries in the world, both in the research and development and in large-scale manufacturing of metallic superconductors.
