The 2009 ESAS Summer School

May 19, 2009 (HE31).    We announced earlier the 2009 ESAS Summer School on Superconductivity, which will be held at Lans en Vercors near Grenoble, France, June 21-26, 2009.   The school venue will be «Le domaine des Girards» close to Lans en Vercors and Villard de Lans, in the beautiful «Massif du Vercors».  The distance between this location and Grenoble is about 30 km.

The application deadline was April 22, 2009.  Unfortunately, not all applicants could be accepted, because of the limited capacity of the lecture room and the policy of keeping the group small to facilitate exchanges. The total number of participants is expected to be 33 (22 doctoral students, 6 postdocs and 5 seniors), with 21 lecturers present.  The program of the school can be viewed here.  We note that this 2009 school program will for the first time include a lecture on superconducting qubits and quantum computing circuits.
