The 4th FLUXONICS RSFQ Design Workshop Held in Ilmenau, Germany
December 21, 2007 (H18). The 4th FLUXONICS RSFQ Design Workshop was held at the University of Technology Ilmenau (UTI), Germany, on September 23rd to 25th, 2007. The aim of this and other such workshops is to discuss recent developments and future activities in RFSQ design within the FLUXONICS association, with particular emphasis on the linkage to the FLUXONICS foundry. The workshop was organized by Prof. F. H. Uhlmann and Dr. Th. Ortlepp both of the UTI.
The Workshop had 21 participants (see Fig. 1) from all active European groups and also some guests. from the following countries:
- Germany: TU Ilmenau, IPHT Jena, Univ. Karlsruhe, PTB Braunschweig
- France: Univ. Savoie, CEA Grenoble, Thales Alenia Space, Thales R&D, ENST Paris
- Netherlands: Univ. Twente
- Sweden : Univ. Chalmers
- South Africa:Univ. Stellenbosch.
The program of the two days 4th Workshop was organized into the following six sessions:
- Lectures on Superconductor Electronics
- Introduction to Circuit Design
- Advanced Aspects of RSFQ Circuit Design
- Special session devoted to the recently finished DFG project ”PHASE SHIFTER“
- Interfacing RSFQ Circuits
- Research Aspects.
The next 5th RSFQ design workshop will take place next year, June 29th to July 2nd 2008 at TUI, Germany. For further information please check http://www.fluxonics.org.
