Impact Factor of “Superconductor Science and Technology” Significantly Increased

June 23, 2010 (HP32).  According to the latest ISI Journal Citation Report, the IOP journal Superconductor Science and Technology (SuST) has gained an increase in Impact Factor to 2.694.  This represents a 46% growth on last year's result.

Some of the highest cited work in SUST includes:

Table 1 (below) compares the latest impact factors of main journals publishing articles on topics related to superconductivity and/or applied superconductivity.  Surprisingly, SuST now surpasses even the venerable Journal of Applied Physics (published by AIP), although the latter publishes a much broader spectrum of topics, with superconductivity only occasionally represented.

Tom Miller, Publisher for SuST, said "We are very pleased with our recent increase in impact factor, and we would like to thank all our authors and referees for their outstanding contributions to the journal."

We congratulate the SuST editorial staff!
