Profile Change at THEVA
August 6, 2012 (HE67). To our readers involved in superconducting electronics, the German company THEVA (www.theva.de) is well known as a supplier of high-quality, wafer-scale, high-temperature superconducting films. In the past several years, the company became also increasingly active in 2nd generation coated conductors (CCs). A recent THEVA press release documents the profile change of the company, which divested itself from wafer coating to concentrate on 2G conductors for energy technology applications. The wafer coating will now be performed by a new start-up company CERACO. Another THEVA press release announces a new seven digits investment in THEVA by two major German investors: the Target Partners (www.TargetPartners.de) and BayBG Bayerische Beteiligungsgesellschaft (www.baybg.de).
