Prof. Teresa Puig, head of the Superconducting Materials and Large scale Nanostructures Department (http://departments.icmab.es/suman/) from the Institute of Materials Science of Barcelona (ICMAB-CSIC) has been awarded a 2014 ERC-Advanced Grant from the European research Council, and she highlights the efforts to sustainably develop superconducting materials as well as their their potential for advanced electrical and power technologies.
